Good Bye Sweet Savory Grace
Welcome to the upgraded and re-branded site! What was Sweet Savory Grace is now The Sweet Savory Life!
Here’s the story…
Sweet Savory Grace was officially launched in April 2018 as a creative outlet! At that time, my business had just sold and I found myself having the mental space and free time to finally pursue a life-long dream of blogging. Coming from a pastry shop business, Sweet Savory Grace was intended to create mostly baking recipes and tips contents.
In early October 2018, my husband and I finally decided to take the first step to my nomadic lifestyle dreams! We purchased a Ram Promaster cargo van that we later converted and moved into as our 60 sq.ft. home on wheels. I immediately realized that the Sweet Savory Grace blog will have to change. When we were designing our van, I knew that we did not want to carry around a propane tank for both safety and insurance reasons. And a baker isn’t much of a baker without her oven.
Though we are not quite ready to be on the road full-time, my husband and I take road trips whenever we can. With this, I’ve decided to rename the blog to “The Sweet Savory Life” to accommodate the changes in our lifestyle. Yes, there will still be recipes and desserts but my blog will also include our van life journey!
Aside from the literal meaning of sweet and savory in terms of food, the phrase sweet and savory is also a metaphor for life’s ups and downs. I want to be as authentic as I can to my readers by sharing not just the happy but also the not-so-happy events and the lessons I’ve learned along the way!
The Sweet Savory Life will include not just recipes and travel food guide but also van life updates, road trips, lifestyle and everything else in between! Thank you for being a part of this journey! My social media handles will remain @sweetsavorygrace ! Follow along as we embark on this new adventure!
Cheers!
