Happy Thanksgiving!
This year has been an interesting year for me! Following the sale of my macaron shop, I had to ask myself the big question - what's next? 2017 is about to end but I still haven't quite answered the big question yet. A good friend told me that this year is my year of incubation, perhaps it is!At mid-year, we've sold everything we owned and packed our backpacks for Philippines. It has been my husband's dream to get a chance to live in the tropics for awhile. Cebu has been great! Beaches, food, friends and most importantly family! To my new readers, I was born and raised in Cebu so this trip meant coming home!During my trip there, with the lack of a local source of good quality chocolate, I've decided that my next venture will be in this industry! Its a bit ironic to be on a tropical island with plenty of cacao farms but very little artisan chocolate in the market. So here I am, in San Francisco learning about chocolates from one of the best chocolatiers in the city. To answer the question, what's next for me? I'm still not sure, what I am sure of is that there will be plenty of chocolate in my future. So this Thanksgiving Day, I am most thankful for the COURAGE I have been given. Finding the answer to my big question (of what's next?) was tougher than I thought as I had to face the uncertainty of stepping out of my comfort zone. I'm thankful for the courage I have been given to be honest to myself as I examine what's important and what's not. I am thankful for the courage I have been given to reinvent myself. I am thankful for the boundless opportunity that came my way this year and the wonderful people I've reconnected and met.Happy thanksgiving everyone! I love you all!
