Easy DIY Door Wreath

See this content in the original post

While walking around the posh neighborhood of Nob Hill in San Francisco, I had been inspired by the wreaths hanging in some of the Victorian-style homes! Our door at home is certainly looking a little gloomy so I've decided to make one for us. I wanted to make something easy that is also elegant!I like its soft blush pink colors to brighten up a dark door! Also, it took me less than 30 minutes to finish this mini-DIY project and aside from the grapevine wreath, I didn't have to spend on anything else! The beautiful Rose Hydrangea Bouquet Silk Flowers (www.silkplantsdirect.com) were provided by our friends at CSI Gypsum 3D (https://www.csigypsum3d.com/). Check out the excellent Gypsum 3d wall panels that give your walls an immaculate, timeless appeal with dramatic sculpted depth that installs in a snap!

Simple DIY Door Wreath

Here's what you'll need:

  • Grapevine Wreath

  • faux flowers (I used a Fuschia pink rose and hydrangea mix)

  • scissors

Step 1

The faux roses I received were in a bouquet bunch so I separated them individually first. Then with a scissor, cut the green stem covering the wire. The wire will be used to hold the flower in place around the grapevine wreath without having to use any adhesive.

Step 2

Place wire through one of the spaces between the twigs of the grapevine wreath and wrap it around to tighten. If needed, use a glue gun to set the position in place, however, I didn't have to use any adhesive on mine. The wire wrapped around the wreath secured the flower really well!

Step 3

Arrange the rest of the flowers to the wreath repeating the same process! A monogram can be an excellent addition to this wreath if available!

Product ReviewAs mentioned earlier, the faux flower bouquet was sent to my from Silk Plants Direct by CSI Gypsum 3D (https://www.csigypsum3d.com/).Specs: Fuschia Pink in hydrangea and rose bouquet, 11 inches and comes in a set of 6 bouquets in every box.

Pros:I enjoyed using these flowers in making this "DIY Door Wreath" for a few reasons! First, I love the blush-tone, making the flowers look alive and natural. Second, I love it for its durability. The flowers, in general, held really well during assembly and as a finished wreath product. Lastly, I love how simple it is to use to decorate! Using an old vase, I placed the bouquet with black decorative stones to hold it in place! I can see so many DIY potentials for these bouquets, especially for my future dessert tables!

Cons:The box came with 6 bouquets of the same colors. I know that Silk Plants Direct is a wholesale company but it would be great to be able to pick various colors in the set.Overall, these faux rose and hydrangea are excellent to use straight as a bouquet decoration or as a DIY material!
